Terms of Service Last Updated: February 25, 2026 Welcome to Typewriter, a product of Front Street Software LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, https://trytypewriter.com ("Site") and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. ⸻ 1. Use of the Service You must be at least 18 years old to use Typewriter. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activities that occur under your account. ⸻ 2. User Data We collect personal information such as your name, email address, payment information, and screenplay data to provide and improve our Service. Non-personal information, such as web cookies, may also be collected. For details, please see our Privacy Policy at https://trytypewriter.com/legal/privacy-policy. ⸻ 3. Intellectual Property All content, features, and functionality of the Service—including but not limited to software, text, graphics, and logos—are owned by Front Street Software LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your screenplay data and creative work ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a license to use your User Content as described in our End User License Agreement at https://trytypewriter.com/legal/eula. All other rights, including ownership of the Typewriter software, are reserved by Front Street Software LLC. ⸻ 4. Subscriptions and Payments By purchasing a paid plan or subscription, you agree to the following: - You will provide accurate and complete payment information. - Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. - You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for all applicable fees, including recurring charges upon renewal. - We may change subscription pricing, features, or available tiers at any time with at least thirty (30) days' notice. Continued use after a pricing change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing. - We may discontinue, modify, or consolidate subscription tiers at our discretion. If your current tier is discontinued, we will notify you and may migrate you to the nearest available tier. - Failure to make timely payments may result in suspension or termination of access to the Service. ⸻ 5. Refunds All payments are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused features, or subscription downgrades. In limited circumstances, we may issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion. Requesting a refund does not entitle you to one. Prohibited Conduct You agree not to: - Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose. - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks. - Copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service or any part thereof without our written permission. - Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the Service. ⸻ 7. Disclaimer of Warranties The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding availability, reliability, or suitability for your particular purpose. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. ⸻ 8. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Front Street Software LLC, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. ⸻ 9. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT. You and Front Street Software LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible. Arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Wyoming or, at your election, by phone or video. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding. CLASS ACTION WAIVER: YOU AND FRONT STREET SOFTWARE LLC AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. OPT-OUT: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to hello@trytypewriter.com within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your name, email address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, the Governing Law section below applies. ⸻ 10. Governing Law To the extent any dispute is not subject to arbitration, these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any such dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming. You consent to personal jurisdiction in these courts and waive any objection to venue. ⸻ 11. Electronic Communications By using Typewriter, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including by email and in-app notifications. You agree that all notices, agreements, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. ⸻ 12. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time.
