This Privacy Policy describes how Front Street Software LLC ("Typewriter," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, retains, and discloses information in connection with trytypewriter.com, the Typewriter desktop application, accounts, hosted AI features, billing, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Policy is a notice of our practices and does not create contractual rights beyond those required by applicable law.

1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, account identifiers, authentication information, communications, preferences, and settings.
- Transaction information, such as purchase amounts and status, Prepaid Balance, Auto-Reload settings, payment and billing metadata, refunds, disputes, and related records. Payment details may be processed by payment providers.
- Content and AI interaction information, such as screenplays, scripts, notes, outlines, prompts, instructions, selections, files, context, and other material you submit or make available to online or AI features; AI output; model choices; request identifiers; token and usage data; and errors.
- Device, network, and usage information, such as IP address, browser, device and operating-system information, app version, URLs, referrers, access times, feature activity, diagnostics, and identifiers.
- Cookie, pixel, click, attribution, analytics, and advertising information, including information collected through similar technologies or received from analytics and advertising partners.
- Information we infer, combine, aggregate, de-identify, or derive from the information described above.
Files that remain solely in local device storage are not submitted to the Service unless you use a feature that transmits or otherwise makes them available.
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser, device, or use of the Service, and from service providers, platforms, and other partners.

2. How We Use Information

- Provide, operate, maintain, personalize, and support the Service.
- Authenticate users, administer accounts, communicate with you, and respond to requests.
- Process payments, Prepaid Balance, Auto-Reload, refunds, disputes, and billing records.

- Test, evaluate, improve, develop, and train Typewriter, related services, AI features, and machine-learning systems.

- Monitor, secure, debug, troubleshoot, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our agreements.
- Comply with law, respond to legal process, protect rights and safety, resolve disputes, and support corporate transactions.
- Carry out other purposes disclosed when information is collected or otherwise permitted by law.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, our bases may include performing a contract, pursuing our legitimate interests or those of others, complying with legal obligations, and consent where required.

3. How We Disclose Information

- Vendors and service providers for hosting, storage, authentication, payments, communications, support, security, diagnostics, analytics, advertising, marketing, and other business operations.
- AI model, gateway, and infrastructure providers when you use AI features.
- Advertising, attribution, and analytics partners, which may use identifiers, activity, device, network, transaction, and campaign information under their own terms and policies.
- Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, financing sources, and counterparties.
- Government authorities, courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when required or permitted by law or when we believe disclosure is appropriate to protect rights, property, safety, security, or the Service.
- Actual or prospective parties to a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, transfer, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.

As described in the EULA, we may process and use User Content, AI interactions, and information derived from them to operate, analyze, secure, support, improve, evaluate, develop, and train Typewriter, related services, AI features, and machine-learning systems. Information submitted to AI features may be processed by third-party infrastructure and AI providers under their terms and policies.

We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary or permitted for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating the Service, maintaining business and transaction records, enforcing agreements, resolving disputes, preventing fraud or abuse, developing products, and satisfying legal, tax, accounting, security, or compliance requirements. Retention periods vary by information type, purpose, relationship, and legal requirement.
We may retain information for longer when reasonably necessary or permitted, and may retain aggregated, de-identified, statistical, technical, derived, evaluation, training, and development information after other information is deleted or an account ends.
